Kentisbury Grange near Barnstaple is a grade II listed, former gentlemens residence built in the early 19th century.
We undertook the resoration and conversion of the property into a luxury 5 star hotel with adjacent 5 star restaurant in a converted coach house. The main contractor on this site was MIDAS construction.
We began on site in October 2012 and continued on programme throughout the heavy snowfall in Decemebr and January which was no mean feat on the edge of Exmoor!
We carried out extensive box sash window refurbishment and replacement. We altered the layout of the building to make it work as a hotel including forming new studwork partitions and adapting existing partitions. This included making new pannelled door linings in keeping with the existing building.
One of the last jobs to complete was the supply and fitting of Skirting and Architraves which we have had made to exactly match the exisitng mouldings in this grade II listed building.
The project was completed on time in April 2013
