We won the Carpentry package on this £8million development in early 2011. The main Contractor was Stacey Construction Ltd. The job ran exceptionally well and was completed on time in mid 2011.
The project involved the construction of a 42 bed timber framed special care centre. The building was primarily clad in western red cedar (some 700m2 of it!)
Internally it was of a very high spec with walnut veneered fire doors throughout, oversized dado rail throughout all communal areas and extra detailing on the architraves to give the building a grandiose appearance.
Softwood decking was fitted on the terraces on each level laid on firring strips over a sarnafill roof.
The new care centre will house facilities for all levels of need from 24-hour nursing support to domiciliary care, physiotherapy, post-operative care and medical services.
