We are construction and carpentry specialists based in Chard, Somerset. We have experience working as the primary contractor with homeowners and developers on loft conversions, timber frame extensions, conversions and renovations and as the sub contractor working for main contractors on commercial developments.

Philip Higgs and Lee Massey, the company directors, have worked together since 2004. Phil’s experience in the trade dates back to 1999. His founding in the trade is in restoration work and Lee’s founding was primarily in new build therefore, as a business, we have expertise in a range of construction techniques.

Since 2008 we have worked with the majority of main contractors accross the south west on projects up to £14.6m. During this time we have gained a wealth of knowledge that we can bring to your project.

We have worked on builds including schools, hospitals, GP surgeries, residential care homes, new housing, apartments, retail units, hotels, extensions, loft conversions, and renovations. We have worked alongside some quality designers to create some truly unique pieces of architecture. Away from the larger developments we are also available to lend our expertise to your kitchen fitting or other home remodelling needs.

We have worked on developments from Bath to Torquay, Yeovil to Minehead and just about everywhere in between! Whilst we work all over the south west we still maintain good local relationships and are the number 1 choice for Carpenters in Chard, Ilminster, Crewkerne and Axminster

We have been featured in the RIBA annual review and have recently worked on a Grand Designs project just outside Chard. If you watch the 'Cowshed' episode of series 16 you may spot our directors hard at it....

We are very aware of our responsibilty to protect our workforce, clients and the public from accidents that to often blight the construction industry. With this in mind we employ an external safety advisor and are members of SMAS. We make safety a priority.
