Poole High School Conference Centre

Renovation of Poole high school conference centre for SWH Build.

The existing strucuture was typical of many schools around the country. Poorly insulated, damp and ugly Porta-kabins. Our task was to transform them into a design that was visually very attractive and would sit well in the Poole harbour area and something the pupils would be proud to call their school.

This entailed building a timber strucutre around the exisiting steel one, insulating and fixing a new weather proof layer. The cladding was made up of full height western red cedar panels broken up with paint finished rockpanel. All fixed with heavy gauge stainless steel fixings due to the timber specification and the geographical conditions.

Internally most of the work was to make the building functional again and was left with a clean finish for the start of the new term. 

The project was finished right at the end of August just in time for the new school term!
